January 4, 2010. It was my first day of my one year contract at Lexmark. And now, January 4, 2011 is my end of contract.
Though I admit I have a love-hate relationship with my "work", I am thankful to God for hearing my prayer. It has been a dream come true for me to be able to have my OJT there. I thank my old teacher/friend Sir Alicaway in encouraging us to apply. I thank my manager, Ms. Phoebe for believing in me and in giving me the chance to prove myself. I thank my team especially Ms. Adie for the training. And also, I thank all the people I met there and became my friends. I will remember you for the rest of my life. :)
Thank you for all the learnings and experience. Until we meet again~!

OJT General Assembly
We had our OJT General Assembly yesterday. The meeting was about having a Year End Party on December 18th (tentative date). Majority attended and voted to have the party inside the company premises, which I think is definitely boring. The agreed contribution for the party is 150php including the food which will be catered. And then, no exchanging gifts. How is that? Duh!
I was picked as the representative from our school (thanks to Arlen) which is tasked to coordinate with the other representatives and event organizers and disseminate any updates regarding the party to my school mates; in that case, Arlen and Rag2. We are only three from USC here and the coordinator said that we'll be having a presentation per school during the party. Isn't that really unfair? I swear, I wouldn't perform for them. Hahaha!
With regards with the tentative date, I think Arlen and I can't make it. It's my Grandfather's birthday on that day and it's her brother's birthday too. If there are any chances that the party will be moved to an earlier date, then that would be fine.

/My life is kinda boring...
I've been singing that to myself since I arrived here in the office and I can't help but ask myself if it (my life) really is boring.. Uhmm.. I've been juggling work and school now since classes have already started this week. I am expecting to graduate five months from now. Yay!
School has already started last Monday and so far my teachers are kinda "boring" too or maybe because of the subject. I don't know, really. And also, I don't like all of my classmates. Hahaha. I miss our batch. Tsk! But anyway, I have nothing to do with them. I'm at school to learn and that is what I'm supposed to do and nothing else. Besides, I have Arlen with me all the time. We have our own little world at school. Hahaha!
Work is sometimes challenging and sometimes not. It really depends on what tasks our TL gives me. It is usually writing small programs to automate their process to make work efficient. Most of the time I don't have anything to do. That's what I least like here, no work. I just sit here and do other stuffs with the computer like surfing the internet. But hey, there are a lot of limitations in internet browsing here. For one, Facebook is blocked. Yes, it is blocked. Haha! Sometimes, other OJTs send me instant messages and when I feel like replying, I do and if not, I'm sorry. :p Can you guess who is my constant companion and chat mate here at work? Well, it is still Arlen. It's always Arlen. Haha.
After school or work we sometimes go to Ayala and just roam around, window shopping and then we're headed home. At home, I either watch television or surf the internet. I do the latter more like every night until I go to sleep. All day, I face the computer and I never get tired of it. Haha! Good thing, I took a computer related course which is BS Information Technology. :)

Accidental Mail
Last week, I accidentally sent a blank mail to the whole OJTs in our company. Careless, I know. Thinking about the incident, still makes me laugh. Haha! Oh well, it's already done and I can do nothing about it, right?
I'm now haunted with a lot of "fans" (As what Arlyn, my best friend says, who happens to be in the same company as I am) pm-ing me and sending me mails. My inbox is already flooded with mails. The worst part is, I have no idea who they are! Some already know me, surprisingly. Haha! Isn't it unfair? :p
From now on, I'll brace myself from "unknown" and "unfamiliar" faces who'll smile or even strike a conversation with me from time to time at the canteen or at the common areas of the building. Haha. This is my fault, so I must suffer the consequences. Hahaha! But on a lighter note, it's also fun getting to meet new people (but not the weird ones, please!).
